About
MY STORY
My name is Gabrielle Clark, but I go by Brie. I am a senior communications major with a minor in brand communications. Upon graduation I will get my masters in sports business and analytics. I originally went into college thinking that I was going to be in the medical field as a radiologist. After spending time as a student athlete I soon realized I want to stay around athletes and help them tell their stories. My main goal in choosing a career is that I want to be happy or excited to go to work because I love what I do. That’s what led me to change my career path to communications. The biggest part of who I am is that my faith is something that I take everywhere with me. I am excited for life beyond college, where hopefully I am living out my dreams and leading others closer to God along the way.

WHERE I'VE BEEN
Gymnastics
During my time on the Utah State gymnastics team I earned Floor specialist of the year and Freshman of the year in the MRGC conference. I was also named All- American on floor by the NCAA. My team also won the school's first conference championship. Currently I am a part of the inaugural Clemson gymnastics team.
Diversity Organizations
I was the gymnastics representative for the diversity organization at Utah State.

I am currently a senior and graduate in 2024 with a bachelors in communications. I will obtain a graduate certificate in Athletic leadership in the spring.

Peer Helpers
I was a part of peer helpers for seven years. Peer Helpers is founded by the Jennifer Claire Moore foundation. It is a program that trains you to be a mini-counselor for your peers. In peer helpers you deal with many heavy topics such as depression, anxiety, abuse, and even suicide.
Homeless ministry
I work with the homeless ministry for my church. One week a month we set up beds, food, and rooms for the homeless in our area so they have a place to stay.
First Priority
I was a leader in First Priority, which is an christian club. My religion is something that I hold close to me. God has had an important role in my life and I know He has a great plan in store for me.
Student Athlete Advisory Committee
I am on the student athlete advisory committee at Clemson University. I am the representative for my team and I bring forward any concerns from my team. In SAAC we also vote on important issues as well. I am on the board of Event planning for SAAC. On this board we help plan events like the student athlete formal and the welcome back picnic.
Coaching
Over the summer I have coached younger girls ranging from age 6-9. I got the chance to coach and learn how to coach different personalities. I also learned to be adaptable and creative with my coaching.
Dividend Management Internship
This internship was amazing and I learned so much. I completed this internship summer of 2024. I got the privilege of creating brand books for real artists as well as presenting them,I met with artists, I ran the company Tik Tok page, and I got a lot of valuable training and resources.
Clemson NAACP Communication Committee
This is Clemson's National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. This organization was created to maintain the mission of equality and social inclusion for people of color.
Athlete to Athlete
I am a part of a athlete mentorship program, where I mentor young gymnasts weekly.
A Deeper Dive Into My Story
I am originally from Daphne, Alabama. My freshman year I attended Utah State University. As an Alabama native a lot of people thought I was crazy for going to Utah State. In moments like that you have to trust God and His plans for you even if it isn't the popular thing. After my freshman year I transferred to Clemson. I was a gymnast at Utah State and I am now a part of Clemson's inaugural gymnastics team. If I didn't go to Utah State I may not have had the opportunity to come to Clemson. Going to Utah State and transferring to Clemson was a leap of faith that I am so glad that I took. God's plans are always better than anything you could ever imagine.A big part of my identity that shaped my experience is that I am a student athlete. As a student athlete I had to continue to build my skills of time-management, sacrifice, and seeing things all the way through to the end. Having competed at a very high level in gymnastics has helped me to develop into a hard working and adaptive individual. I have learned to be very coachable and have the ability to take instruction with very little direction. Communication is also a strength of mine due to the ability to express myself and listen actively. I maintain an optimistic mindset and strive to bring positive energy to every team that I have been a part of which enables me to work well with others. Gymnastics has allowed me to learn a lot of transferrable life skills.
